URL parameter comparison

Compare parameters between two links.

URL parameter comparison

Check what changed before launching

Compare a campaign URL with its source to find missing UTM fields, unexpected values and extra parameters. Results use text parsing without requesting the destination.

Features

Parameter comparison matrix

Four statuses summarize names. The matrix retains all duplicate values, with search and difference filters.

Base structure checks

Switch raw or decoded mode and inspect base paths, hashes, key sequences and full text separately.

Copy full report

Full reports include both source links, options and every parameter. Copy and TXT export ignore active filters.

How to use

  1. Enter the original in A and the campaign or edited link in B.

  2. Choose decoding and plus-as-space options, then compare.

  3. Review structure and counts, then narrow the matrix using status and search.

  4. Copy or export the full report for collaborators. Compare again after editing inputs or options.

Comparison rules

Compare decoded parameters
Decode once only. Plus means space by default and can be disabled. Names and values are case-sensitive; flag differs from flag=.
Parameter key sequence
Repeated values and their order matter. Order across names is checked separately. Empty segments are excluded from counts but affect full text.
Processed in your browser
Only the query before # is parsed; hash-route parameters are not expanded. Working data stays in page memory without upload or persistence and is cleared on leaving.

Use cases

Campaign QA: check missing or changed utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign.

Channel handoff: review tracking links from agencies, creators and ad platforms.

Encoding checks: find double encoding, plus/space differences and changed duplicate counts.

FAQ

Why do decoded values match while raw text differs?

For example, %2f and %2F decode to /; + and %20 both mean space in form mode. Use raw mode to inspect encoding. The owning platform must still validate signed links.

Do matching parameters mean identical links?

No. Domains, paths, hashes, order and encoding may differ. This tool does not visit sites or validate redirects, signatures or final pages.

Why can a link fail decoded comparison?

Invalid percent escapes or UTF-8 are rejected with the link side and parameter index. Fix the input or disable decoding. Raw mode does not repair links.

What about links without queries, reports and privacy?

Structure checks still work without parameters. Reports contain complete links and all parameters; review before sharing. Processing is local, with no saved history. TXT files require explicit export.
