Background remover

Remove the background and keep the subject.

Using this tool

Background removal runs in the browser. AI mode first downloads its model and runtime resources; browser support and available memory affect processing.

Your tool inputs and processing results are not published as part of this page. Review the tool instructions before entering sensitive information.

Adapt your visuals to every setting

Remove distracting backgrounds and keep the subject. Export transparent product images or use solid and custom photo backgrounds.

How to use

  1. 1. Upload or paste an image and choose AI or chroma key.

  2. 2. Generate and inspect the result. Adjust threshold, edges and feathering as needed.

  3. 3. Choose a background, format and quality, regenerate and download.

Use cases

Product photos, ad compositions, portraits, social graphics and brand assets. Clear subjects separated from the background usually give better results.

FAQ

Are images uploaded? Why is the first run slower?

Images and results stay in page memory: no uploads or cross-device sync. AI first downloads model and runtime assets from this site. Closing the page clears images; asset caching depends on the browser.

Can AI handle hair, glass and complex backgrounds?

U²-Netp uses a 320 × 320 input and exports at original size. Fine hair, translucent objects, multiple subjects and low contrast may leave artifacts. Adjust threshold and edges; pixel-perfect segmentation is not guaranteed.

When should I use chroma key?

Use chroma key for green screens, white backdrops or other uniform backgrounds, without AI downloads. Pick a color from the original and tune tolerance. Border-connected removal is enabled by default.

How do I keep transparency?

Choose transparent background and export PNG or WebP. The checkerboard indicates transparency and is not exported. JPG uses the selected fill color.
