Currency converter

Turn multi-currency spending into clear costs

Convert ad spend, purchasing costs and channel invoices with a clear breakdown of base cost, fees and total. Use for budget estimates and invoice checks; actual payments follow bank or provider settlement.

Features

Exchange-rate data

Download public USD-base rates once, then calculate supported cross rates locally without repeated requests.

Surcharge / processing fee

Customize surcharges. The currency board updates with amounts and fees using each currency’s minor unit.

Batch conversion

Process amounts and notes per row with isolated errors. Full reports and CSV retain line numbers, fees and rate timestamps.

How to use

  1. Select source and target currencies and enter the amount. Search by code or localized name.

  2. Enter the payment-channel surcharge and inspect the base amount, fee and total cost.

  3. For batches, enter one amount per line with an optional note. Review successful and invalid rows.

  4. Copy results or export TXT / CSV with the rate timestamp for later reconciliation.

Data and calculation rules

Daily reference rates
Uses the public ExchangeRate-API endpoint, updated daily, with rate timestamps included in exported reports. Manual refreshes are at least an hour apart; network failures retry after one minute and rate limits after twenty minutes.
Surcharge / processing fee
Base conversion = amount × target USD rate ÷ source USD rate. The surcharge is added to that amount; fixed fees, tiers and bid/ask spreads are not included.
Amounts are calculated locally
Only public rates and timestamps are cached locally. Overdue rates are marked and disabled after seven days. Amounts, notes and batch results are neither uploaded nor persisted and clear on leaving.

Use cases

Multi-account budgets: convert USD, HKD or EUR ad budgets to your reporting currency.

Payment-cost estimates: assess percentage surcharges from cards or agencies.

Report checks: convert daily expenses in batches and export notes and timestamps for collaborators.

FAQ

Are these tick-by-tick live trading rates?

No. The current source updates daily. Refresh retrieves its published data and may not change the rate. Check the timestamp in exported reports; actual settlement follows your payment statement.

Does it work offline?

After a successful fetch with storage allowed, rates cached within seven days can be used. Cache and overdue status are shown. A first offline visit or expired cache requires a connection; sample rates are never substituted.

Why can the result differ from a bank statement?

Banks may use rates from another time, card-network rates, fixed fees or markups. This tool uses daily reference rates and your percentage fee, rounding by the target unit at each step for estimation and checking.

How are invalid batch rows and exports handled?

An invalid amount does not block other rows. Reprocess after changing input, currencies, fees or rates. Reports and CSV retain error rows, line numbers and codes; spreadsheet formula-like values are escaped as text.
