URL encoder / decoder

Understand encoding without losing parameter meaning

String conversion and query editing are separate. Inspect Chinese, spaces, plus signs and nested links while retaining the source. Encoding is not encryption; decoding does not visit or validate links.

Features

Processing mode

Three modes keep parameter, URI and form rules distinct.

Batch input

Batch processing reports original line numbers and errors; successful rows can be copied or exported together.

Parameter editor

Edit query rows while retaining duplicates, order, empty values, untouched encodings and the hash.

How to use

  1. Choose conversion or query editing. Use the default parameter mode for one value.

  2. Enter source and run the operation. In batch mode use one item per line and correct errors individually.

  3. Edit plain values, check plus and space rules and keep required duplicate parameters.

  4. Compare with the source, then copy or export. Move results to input explicitly for another layer.

Rules and data handling

Encode / decode
One layer only, without recursive decoding. Existing % becomes %25 when encoded again.
Processed in your browser
All processing is local, with no automatic saving, link visits or short-link resolution. Leaving clears the workspace.
Query editor
Only the main query is parsed; hash is retained. Editing signed links can invalidate signatures; check the source system’s rules.

Use cases

Campaign checks: inspect UTM, channel and redirect values and edit what needs changing.

Nested-link debugging: decode one layer to identify which URL owns &, ? and =.

Forms and APIs: distinguish %20, + and %2B and prepare values for the destination contract.

FAQ

Is encoding encryption?

URL encoding changes representation and is reversible, offering no secrecy. Percent signs do not protect sensitive values.

Why does + sometimes become a space?

Form mode and parsing with the plus option treat + as a space. Parameter mode keeps a literal plus; encode it as %2B when needed.

Why does decoding fail instead of showing partial text?

Broken escapes or UTF-8 cannot be decoded reliably. Errors avoid silent replacements; other valid batch rows still succeed.

Does the tool deduplicate, sort or repeatedly decode?

No. Duplicates, order and encoding layers can matter. Edit or process another layer explicitly; untouched rows remain unchanged.
